Matt Western is the local Labour MP for Warwick and Leamington and works hard for the local community. He has been MP for the area since June 2017, when we won Warwick and Leamington in one of the largest swings to Labour in the country.
Since becoming an MP Matt has campaigned on many local issues, such as Warwick District Council’s plans to build themselves new offices, against the closure of 2/3 of our children centres, for an end to homelessness, to save House of Fraser and was part of the campaign to ensure Alfie Dingley received the medicinal cannabis he needed.
Matt worked in the automotive industry for many years before serving as County Councillor for Leamington Willes between 2013-2018. During that time he put forward more motions than any other councillor and advocated a ‘Warwickshire Energy Plan’ to deliver local low-cost energy.
Matt lives in Old Town Leamington and is a long suffering Arsenal fan.
